HELLO, MY NAME IS CHRISTAL LICHTENBERG,LCSW

With more than a decade of experience in correctional mental health, clinical leadership, and county case management, my work has been shaped by the profound resilience of the individuals I’ve served. These years have grounded me in evidence‑based practice, ethical clarity, and a deep understanding of how trauma, environment, and nervous system responses intertwine.

At the core of my approach is an innate commitment to walking alongside others as they navigate their healing. I’ve had the privilege of supporting diverse communities and complex stories, each one expanding my clinical lens and strengthening my belief in the human capacity for restoration. My practice blends trauma‑informed care, nervous‑system awareness, and compassionate presence—guided by the understanding that healing is both a science and a deeply human process.

I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow new roots in their own time and in their own way.

Mission & Vision

At Haven of Roots, our mission is to cultivate a sanctuary where healing can take root and gently deepen. We honor each person’s story with compassion, creating a space where safety, connection, and nervous system calm can return. Guided by the belief that growth begins in grounded soil, we walk beside those we serve as they rediscover their inner steadiness, reclaim their voice, and grow toward a life that feels whole and authentically their own.

Our vision extends beyond the walls of our practice. We imagine a world where every person has a haven to return to—within themselves and within community. A world where healing is nurtured like new roots reaching toward nourishment, where emotional safety is accessible, and where growth unfolds with gentleness and intention. At Haven of Roots, we envision individuals rising from grounded places, strengthened by connection, and empowered to move through life with clarity, resilience, and a deep sense of belonging.
